This guide will walk you through the process of making your own teams and give you some easily-accessible examples if you don’t know where else to start.

1. Tendency and When it Matters

Thinking exclusively in terms of tendencies when putting together new teams can be counterproductive. Serpent is an umbra character, but she often works best in mobbing content. OwO is a good endura unit, but one of the biggest reasons to run her is her core damage and buffing capabilities. Instead of trying to match up characters directly to content based on their in-game designations, it’s better to view them through the lens of their respective roles.

1.1 Character Roles

Some sinners have been organized into six roles, shown in the table below. Note that some characters appear more than once if they fill more than one role.

Note: The order of characters in the chart below does not convey relative strength.

Damage dealers (mobber & bosser)

Supports (everything else)

Ampers (buffers & debuffers)

Sustain (healers & tanks)

1.2 Investment Priority

For story, prioritize leveling your mobber the most, followed by your other teammates. Story has a lot of mobs.

For BFL, prioritize your mobber and bosser before your corebreakers and ampers. Mobbers and bossers need p3 to kill things. Corebreakers at most need p2 lv40-55 to corebreak. Ampers want p3 as well, but they don’t do much if your damage is low.

2. Teambuilding Fundamentals

  1. Damage

    Offense is the best defense.

  2. Corebreaking

Elites are everywhere, bosses are somewhere, and both have cores.

  3. Sustain

In story and TOA, you need some sort of healing or tanking. Ignore for BFL/DZ.
